KFAC Be Ag-Wise Workshops

Be Ag-Wise demonstration photo Join KFAC and Kansas Farm Bureau this winter for the fourth annual “Be Ag-Wise” professional development workshops. This year, the theme is “Ag Counts! Math + Agriculture = Hands-On Learning” which focuses on hands-on learning labs, lesson plans and resource materials that incorporate math into the classroom.

These workshops are designed especially for agricultural education presenters at the county level, which include but are not limited to:
  • Cooperative Extension Educators
  • Conservation District Managers
  • County Farm Bureau Agricultural
    Education volunteers
  • Youth presenters
  • Agricultural teachers
  • Teachers

2012 “Be Ag-Wise” Workshops:
Each workshop will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

January 14 – Emporia at Girl Scouts, Heartland, Inc.
January 21 – Manhattan at Kansas Farm Bureau
February 25 – Colby at Community Building
March 3 – Garden City at SW Area Research and Extension Complex
March 10 – Wichita at Farm Bureau Claims Office

To register, complete the Registration Form and return it with registration fee
by January 3, 2012 to Kansas Farm Bureau:

The $50.00 registration fee includes lunch and copies of lesson plans and other resources. Make checks payable to KFB Activity Fund.

There must be a minimum of 10 participants at each location in order to conduct a workshop.
