Post Card Art Contest
Sponsored
by the Kansas Department of Agriculture. Eight K-6 grade
winners are selected each year based on their artwork depicting
an agricultural theme. A grand prize winner is selected
from the vast entries received each year and then one winner
in each grade level is also selected. The Grand Prize winner
receives a $100 Savings Bond and the grade level winners
are each awarded with a $50 Savings Bond. Every winner and
their families are treated to a day at the state capitol
and a meeting with the Kansas State Governor.For more information

KFAC's
Teacher of the Year Award
Every
year KFAC receives many nominations for Teacher of the Year.
KFAC is honored to be able to recognize one teacher each
year for his/her's hard work. We look for a special teacher
that uses agricultural examples to teach core subjects.
Our Teacher of the Year is awarded an all expense paid trip
to the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference
(a $1000 value). The National conference offers many unique
teaching techniques and valueble information to use in the
classroom. The Kansas Water Office also presents a map of
the Watershed in the teacher's area. For more information
