Why buy an Agri-Tag? To promote the #1 industry in the state of Kansas and to support the statewide K-12 agriculture literacy program sponsored by the Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. Who can buy an Agri-Tag? Anyone with a car or truck registered in Kansas. The vehicle weight limit is 20,000 pounds.		A local business's truck advertises their Agri-Tag license plates on KSU campus.
What does an Agri-Tag cost? An annual donation of $25 to KFAC plus county fees. What are the county fees? When you purchase your Agri-Tag you pay a personalization charge of $48.50 (once every 5 years you have the tag) plus applicable fees, to your county treasurer. Is my payment tax deductible? Yes and no. Your $25 payment to KFAC each year is completely tax deductible. As with any personalized tag, the $48.50 payable to your county is not tax deductible.
	How do I get an Agri-Tag? Fill out the Agri-Tag form and return it to KFAC with your annual donation of $25. You will then receive a certification letter in the mail. Present this letter to your county treasurer's office to obtain your new plate. All plates have numbers that are assigned on a random basis. Will I be reminded about my annual donation? Of Course! That is our job. When it is time for your annual renewal, KFAC will send you a notice approximately 60 days before your tag expires. Get an Agri-Tag Brochure
